My journey to becoming a clinical hypnotherapist began with my personal and transformative experience with the healing power of hypnotherapy. As a result of deep, intense childhood trauma, I often felt like a bystander in my own life. I was constantly stuck in a victim mentality. I lived for many years bitter, unhappy, and unfulfilled with my life. I knew that I didn’t want to live this way, but I also didn’t know how to change. My anxiety and depression worsened with each passing year until I experienced what can only be described as a spiritual awakening. I learned of the power of the subconscious mind, and how true healing can only come from accessing this part of the mind. I longed for healing, self-love, and a more meaningful sense of purpose. Through hypnotherapy and self-discovery, I took an active role in my own life.
Having seen the positive impact that hypnotherapy has made in my life and in the lives of my clients, I am passionate about what I do. While many people will explain their profession by telling what led them to that particular path, I believe that the opposite is true and that hypnotherapy found me. While reading Raymond Moody’s Life After Life, I became fascinated with past life regression and hypnotherapy. While looking for a hypnotherapist in my area, I found out about Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Tarzana, California. After talking to an admissions counselor, I enrolled in the school’s clinical hypnotherapy program. I instantly fell in love with hypnotherapy, despite never being previously hypnotized myself. Shortly after beginning the program, I was hypnotized for the first time and saw for myself just how powerful hypnotherapy can be to help a variety of issues. I knew that this wasn’t something I could or should keep to myself and opened my practice in Temecula. While drawn to many different specialties, I felt most drawn to helping people cultivate authentic happiness in their lives.
Now, I work with clients to help them strengthen their connection with themselves and support them in creating a life that is personally, professionally, and spiritually fulfilling. I encourage my clients to explore their gifts, desires, and calling through the transformative healing power of hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy can be used to make changes in many areas of life including improving mental and emotional well-being.
In addition to one-on-one therapy with clients, I also lead a support group for men facing divorce, loss, and grief. While searching for resources for a client going through a divorce, I was disappointed in the lack of support provided to men when facing difficult times. Numerous groups existed to support women, but none were specific to men. I am passionate about helping men build emotional intelligence, resiliency, and self-confidence.
I am a talented and engaging motivational speaker who has extensive experience speaking to C-suite executives, corporate teams, military groups, civic groups, and more. I am a highly sought-out speaker for sex-positive conventions and conferences.
I bring to my practice a unique understanding, compassion, empathy, and extensive knowledge of hypnotic modalities and related resources. I am a coalition partner with the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom. Additionally, I am a Kink Aware Professional - knowledgeable in kink, fetish, BDSM, polyamory, swinging, and consensual nonmonogamy. I have earned a certification in the Psychology of Human Sexuality. I am also a certified Law of Attraction Coach and Practitioner, certified EFT/TFT Master Practitioner, and certified NLP Master Practitioner. I am also educated in a variety of holistic and healing modalities including reiki, guided imagery, relationship coaching, dream therapy, homeopathy, and aromatherapy.
Prior to becoming a hypnotherapist, I served 20 years in the United States Navy as a journalist and public affairs officer. I hold a Bachelor of Art and a Master of Art from Liberty University. I have also earned a certificate in Women in Leadership from Cornell University.
